World Premiere - New Creation

New Opera in Three Acts

Commissioned by the Opéra national du Capitole

This opera relates historical facts.
The remarks of some of the protagonists may be shocking.

Autumn 1941, five famous French literary celebrities are invited by the Nazi regime to the Weimar Writers' Congress. What is the goal of this demonic deal?
To manipulate and encourage them to preach the good word of the totalitarian order.
Their tragi-comic journey will gradually remove the mask of a dizzying nihilism.

Bruno Mantovani 's new opera, with a libretto authored by Dorian Astor, addresses the burning subject of the pitfalls of blind compromise and explores a universe of musical and poetic intensity.
For this world premiere, the subtle interpretation of stage director Marie Lambert-Le Bihan and a top-cast under the expert musical direction of Pascal Rophé contribute to the event.
