For Poland’s commemoration of 100 Years Regained Independence since the end of World War I, the Polish National Ballet has created a unique production consisting in two new ballets, to the two piano concertos composed by Poland’s most prominent composer, Frederik Chopin.
The choreography for Concerto No 1 in E minor suggested a rather general idea of the joy of the nation from regaining independence, an idea for a joyous holiday and celebration of freedom and love.
